Abstract :
Another two-dimensional array configuration of synthetic aperture radiometer, round plane array configuration, is proposed in this article. The study on optimization of this two-dimensional array configuration is presented with numerical simulation examples. The optimal distributing of this antenna array will be used to synthesize effective antenna aperture much larger than the physical aperture. The methodology used to find optimal distributing is based upon simulated annealing. The results show that either zero redundancy or quite even sampling in spatial frequency domain for this array configuration is obtained. Moreover, the center of gravity of this antenna array is comparatively close to geometrical center of it
