Abstract :
Electric power system is a nonlinear complex system encountered with different dynamics and transients during its course of operation. Power system transients are caused by sudden changes in system topology or parameters. This paper describes a new computer tool for automated analysis of different system transients effect on the power system stability. Using a graphical user interface (GUI) at the input, necessary information is entered by the user to model the power system and different events. The software outputs are shown on different graphs depicting various parameters of the system. The developed simulator software could be used for power engineering education.
