Abstract :
Bluetooth was developed for short range communication. Bluetooth Devices are low end devices and their main benefit is the low cost. Bluetooth communication is a wireless communication technology used to link phones, laptops and PDAs. The easy availability of devices with Bluetooth connectivity permits easy wireless connection between enabled devices. Presently the range of Bluetooth devices is about 10 meters. The main limitation of the Bluetooth communication is the range limitation. In this proposalthe limitations of Bluetooth communication are considered and the range constraint is taken as the major obstacle for smooth communication. A new expanded Bluetooth network to overcome the range constraint of Bluetooth device is proposed. In addition to the range limitation we have also considered security aspect to ensure a secure transmission. The main purpose of this proposal is to establish a network which enable the users outside the piconet range to communicate securely without any range constraint.
