Abstract
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has achieved substantial attention in the past couple of the years. In our contemporary world the need for quicker data transmission is not at all-ending. OFDM modulation technique gives us with a way of more thickly packing modulated carriers in the frequency domain than other Frequency Multiplexing methods, thus attaining higher data rates through communication channels. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is a heart of OFDM system. Hence the design of an efficient FFT structure is important for OFDM. In this paper, design of optimized Area and Timing (AT) Product of FFT using VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description language) is presented. Proposed M-R2MDC FFT is constructed by incorporates of Wave Pipelined Techniques (WPT) into this FFT structures. The proposed M-R2MDC FFT with WPT offers less area and delay than conventional M-R2MDC FFT with no WPT technique. Simulation process is done by ModelSim6.3c and Synthesis process is performed by xilinx10.1.
