Abstract
With the extensive usage of the Mobile Ad hoc Networks, a number of issues have arrived for performing multicasting in MANETs. Providing quality of service is one of the main issues that need more attention right now. To overcome such issue, many protocols have evolved which help in improving the quality of service of the network. In this paper, we analyze a few multicast protocols for MANET and grade them based on their performance in a fixed simulation scenario. The simulation analysis is performed using Network Simulator. From the simulation analysis we have concluded that Distributed QoS Multicast Routing Protocol (DQMRP) is better than Multicast Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing (MAODV) and On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP).
