  • Abstract
Impure motives are the origin of conflicts between logistics alliance partners and they can lead to the instability of an alliance. The paper proposes three hypotheses regarding the motives for the logistics alliance synergy formation. Based on the empirical analysis through questionnaire survey, it concludes that the motivations for enterprises to establish logistics alliances are to attain scale effect, leveraging the utilization of resources comprehensively and internalizing the skills learnt from partners.
