  • Abstract
Today internet acts as a great communication medium with a vast number of websites and services it provides. Like you can become social on Facebook, can tweet on twitter, can have mail communications with Gmail etc. Also you can buy and sell commodities online, online banking and money transfers are also used by millions of users every day. However in backend the vulnerabilities in web development are utilized by attackers for launching online frauds, one of them includes deceiving the users with fraudulent websites. Attackers create fraudulent websites that looks exactly similar to original websites and get success in deceiving the user and getting their important credential information such as user name passwords, SSN etc. As it is expected from cloud computing environment that it will provide trusted web access, we have proposed and developed a utility that can be given to cloud users using which they can improve their trust on web access. The beauty of the technique lies in the fact that the trust over web can be established by the user itself with no intervention from cloud service provider. The utility is desktop notification system and the trust is established with the help of user established secret. A complete implementation of the scheme is shown in this paper with analytical results.
