Abstract
Concentrating on the complex electromagnetic field in urban environments, the paper presents an automated system for electromagnetic field measurement covering the frequency of 9 kHz to 3 GHz. All the instruments in the system are connected to the host computer with GPIB, and they are controlled by software. In this system, the whole measurement procedure is operated automatically. The electromagnetic field can be measured each whole day, and the electromagnetic environment conditions can be reported to urban residents in time.
