  • Abstract
Research in electrocardiographic simulation in the following areas is discussed: (1) the development of a more precise heart model by introducing electrophysiological parameters into a three-dimensional heart model; (2) the development of a model editor to arbitrarily specify heart geometry and orientation, anatomical structure, and electrocardiological properties; (3) the development of an algorithm for rapidly calculating the body surface potentials; (4) the development of an algorithm to display dynamical electrocardiographic processes of the heart and of other simulation results; and (5) clinical applications of simulating comprehensive heart abnormalities such as the abnormal T-wave and arrhythmia. These efforts have result in a complete system for electrocardiographic simulation
