Abstract :
Tubular linear motor (TLM), with high thrust density, is suitable for space launchers. In this paper, the slot-less structure is adopted for the tubular linear motor, its thrust increases nearly with the phase current linearly, so it is more appropriate for the application occasions with a wide range of loads. This paper calculates and analyzes the motor losses and their distribution. In consideration of the high winding loss, the temperature rise of a single winding in a virtual is tested through the online testing system, and the temperature rise law of the circular winding with different high current density is gained. Then, the temperature of windings installed in the motor is also tested, and the result is compared with that of the single winding, and the reasonable estimate method of the winding is proposed.
