Abstract :
For International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT)-Advanced standards, relay has been included in radio cell to improve the transmission efficiency and throughput of wireless networks. In this paper, for the downlink transmission of IMT-Advanced cellular networks, an efficient information transmission scheme based on complex field network coding is proposed. Specifically, different from complex field network coding that encodes the symbols from multiple sources, the scheme expands the encoding from space dimension to time dimension, and encodes the symbols of multiple time slots from the unique base station. Theoretic analysis and simulation results demonstrate that, compared with conventional relay forwarding scheme, the scheme can achieve higher network throughput. Moreover, we further investigate the symbol error probability (SEP) performance, and evaluate SEPs of the proposed scheme in various scenarios for different SNR values.
