Abstract :
Bilinear signal representations in Cohen´s class produce autoterms and crossterms in their representations. When visually analyzing the representations it is sometimes desirable to remove crossterms while retaining autoterms. For general signals, time-frequency resolution is sometimes sacrificed in order to remove crossterms. A simple method of removing crossterms while regaining some of the lost resolution is proposed. This is accomplished through a nonlinear combination of signal representations. Examples are given to demonstrate the properties of the nonlinear combination
