Abstract :
In this paper, a generalized eigenvalue based detector is presented for detecting primary signals in cognitive radio systems with multiple antennas. Exploiting the characteristic of generalized Rayleigh quotient, the proposed algorithm has a better performance over the uniformly most powerful invariant (UMPI) detector. On the other hand, the proposed algorithm has quite well performance with correlated or uncorrelated antennas. Finally, numerical results are given to verify the effectiveness of this method.
