Abstract :
An exact analysis of the full-bridge zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) pulsewidth-modulation (PWM) converter is presented using the state-plane technique. The necessary conditions for ZVS operation and the performance characteristics of the converter are derived in terms of characteristic curves from which the converter design procedure can be formulated. The performance of the converter operating outside the limits of ZVS operation, including the switching loss and the attainable efficiency under different load conditions, is given
