Abstract
This paper uses a modified DEA Model to make an assessment of Chinese enterprises´ research and development activity of thirty-one areas in 2009. The result shows (1)R&D enterprises exhibiting in most areas is DRS. (2)The efficiency of enterprises´ R&D is approximately consistent to the level of that area´s economy development. (3) The scale efficiency changes a little in different regions while the technical efficiency changes much. Based on these findings, this paper gives the direction to improve enterprises´ performance.
