Abstract :
In order to prolong battery life in portable devices or to conserve electricity in noon-portable devices, energy efficiency has become a key design parameter in audio IC for consumer applications. This paper describes several recent advances in audio IC designs for higher energy efficiency and also outlines directions for future improvements.
