Abstract :
Due to multiple access interference (MAI) and cochannel interference enhanced by multi-antenna transmission and multipath channels, the performance of multiple-input single-output (MISO) systems can be even worse than the conventional single-input single-output (SISO) systems. We present a novel MISO precoder for W-CDMA time division duplex (TDD) downlink transmissions. The MAI and cochannel interference can be entirely eliminated by using the conventional RAKE receiver at the mobile station. The proposed MISO precoder has been evaluated with two transmit and one receive antenna in the frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. The simulation results proved that the system performance can be significantly improved compared with the conventional RAKE receiver and linear decorrelator
