Abstract :
Characteristic variables-physical boundary (CV-PB) patching conditions are proposed for the interfaces which separates two subdomains with different material in multidomain pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD), and interface fields update relations are obtained in the 3-D generalized curvilinear coordinates. Some 2-D numerical examples are used to compare the CV-PB with the physical patching conditions, in the accuracy and stability. The numerical results show the proposed patching conditions are more stable and accurate than the physical patching conditions in the accuracy and stability.
