Abstract :
This paper presents an electromechanical model of the Lundell alternator which can easily be defined from a set of electrical tests. The means of inferring the model parameters are discussed in the following sections. Steady-state results from the simulation are compared against the experimental measurements for a Lundell alternator using a test-rig. The model captures the main features of the alternator achieving a good match with the experimental results.
