Abstract :
A packet transmission scheduling scheme is proposed in a multicode WCDMA/TDD network. Multicode allocation based on SIR and traffic load, for packet transmission with variable rate, is investigated. The proposed scheme gives consideration to delay control and takes priority into account for on-going users. Delay control minimizes the buffer size and supplies fairness to users. Priority to on-going users prevents packets being discarded during transmission. The effect of delay control and giving priority to the on-going users is investigated with respect to system performance and throughput
