Abstract :
Two kinds of new improved macromodelings are proposed for on-chip RLC interconnects. By applying the global approximations, the equivalent circuits of on-chip RLC interconnects are derived, which are presented by the improved T model and Π model. Also, by applying the method asymptotic waveform evaluation (AWE), the other kind of new improved T model and Π model can be obtained. The result of examples shows that all these models reach a good accuracy and can work much faster than SPICE. Furthermore, it can be incorporated into SPICE frames easily.
