Abstract :
Bipolar electrograms recorded during activation of the left or right ventricle alone exhibited deflections representing local or distant cardiac electrical activity. Local activation deflections had larger slope magnitudes and peak-to-peak amplitudes than did deflections generated by distant activation, although some overlap occurred between groups. Increasing the spacing between bipole pairs resulted in more prominent distant activation deflections. Differentiating local from distant activity is difficult for low-amplitude bipolar electrograms
