Abstract
Mobile WiMAX carries the promise of ubiquitous broadband wireless access enabling real-time and multimedia applications. One of the main features for enabling mobility is handover. This paper introduces a new methodology using data latency for characterizing handover performance. The new methodology also enables the detection of issues during hand over by projecting data latency pattern.
