Abstract :
Layered space-time codes (BLAST) architecture can achieve high channel capacity by deploying multiple transmit and receive antennas. In practice the performance of BLAST is mainly limited by error propagation. To avoid performance degradation caused by this impact, this paper proposes a joint detection method for horizontal-BLAST system. Combining the BLAST detection with decoding algorithm, the proposed method mitigates error propagation across layers. Simulation results have shown that the new method improved the performance of H-BLAST system.
