Abstract :
A description is given of the design of realizable analog data transmission filters which have as many intersymbol interference values as possible forced to zero. They possess good selectivity in the frequency domain. Their most remarkable property, however, is their simple design, the poles and zeros being given in closed form. This is in direct contrast to optimal data transmission filters, which have very complicated design formulas and require a large computer program for their solution
