Abstract :
The third generation mobile radio system IMT-2000 CDMA TDD has been specified in the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) with IMT-2000 CDMA TDD. This paper presents our TDD test-beds specifications receiving technology, downlink diversity, and open loop transmit power control (OL-TPC) as well as some field and our laboratory experiment results. According to our laboratory experiments, the joint detection can achieve better performance than RAKE receiver in case of two or more user transmission. The selective transmit diversity (STD) type transmit diversity (TX-Div) improves the BER performance around 4 dB compared to case without diversity. As the results of our field experiments, we acquired the characteristics of OL-TPC and a BER. We confirmed the feasibility of the CDMA TDD system from these results
