Abstract :
We derive direct non-iterative expressions for the eigenstructure assignment gain for a decentralized plant. This expression is a natural extension of the gain computation for a standard linear plant. We also derive new sufficient conditions for the robust stability of the decentralized system when it is subject to time-varying structured state space uncertainty. The first robustness result is based upon the matrix measure approach and the second sufficient condition is a function of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the nominal plant
