Title :
Title: Aggregate modeling and control of demand response speaker: David chassin
Abstract :
Load behavior and load control are playing an increasingly important role in the evolution of the bulk power system. On the one hand loads exhibit sometime adverse responses that can detrimentally affect power systems. However, those same responses can also be used to mitigate the behavior of intermittent generation and provide other ?smart? services. This talk will focus on the importance of load modeling in power system studies, and provide some examples of advanced load control modeling and theory used in the deployment of demand response in smart grid applications.
