  • Abstract
    A design plan of WLAN Video Monitoring System based on the latest Imx 31 ARM11 hardware platform of Freescale and embedded Wince OS is introduced, including the main structure of the system and functions of each key module. The design of hardware circuit of the video capture, MPEG4 digital video compression and WLAN modules and the driver software implementation are also included. The system uses the MPEG4 encoding module inside iMX31 to encode the videos captured by the video capturing module, which are then read into SDRAM through HCI Interface and sent to Wireless Access Point by 802.11g module. These data then reach PCs through wired of wireless networks. The application on PC will receive, decode and play these MPEG4 encoded monitoring videos.
