Abstract
This paper presents the results of experimental researches of an electric discharge in a liquid with the formation of the multiple plasma centers (~1000). In this case the plasma centers are formed above the surface of one of electrodes being external relative to the interelectrode space and open for radiation of light and shock-acoustic waves. The distinction from early known experimental researches is in the fact that the multiple plasma centers are regularly formed only on one of the electrodes with microsharpeners prepared as a lattice periodic structure. The results of experiments showed the following: 1) the possibility to realize a regularly repeated multispark electric discharge in the open space for radiation of light and shock-acoustic waves; 2) experiments with multispark electric discharges showed the possibility of an experimental modeling of kinetics of branched tree-like processes in liquid dielectrics; 3) the electro-acoustic efficiency of multispark electric discharge increases with decreasing a liquid conductivity; 4) the possibility of the multispark electric discharges can be used as a basis for a new class of light sources and generators of shock-acoustic waves, which may find applications in researches, underwater acoustics and medicine
