Abstract :
This paper describes a dual-mode DC-DC buck converter using a low power control method for mobile devices. Under a light load condition, the proposed converter within a PFM mode utilizes multiple steps of the state machine to control the load sensing circuit and enhances the efficiency of the PFM mode. The measurement results demonstrate the peak efficiency of 93% and 92.3% on PWM mode and PFM mode, respectively.
