China is the largest wool user in the world. However, domestic wool supply falls far behind the demand. Further, the quality of wool domestically produced is low and inconsistent. Large imports have to be resorted to. A majority of wool imported in China is from Australia. No doubt the situation of Australia´s wool supply is a focus for China. This paper considers that the dependence degree of wool trade between China and Australia will be weakened based on the analysis of Australia´s wool production and export status, especially wool trade between China and Australia.
