            Abstract : 
Femtosecond lasers are an enabling technology for a whole range of fundamental and applied research areas. In this paper, applications of femtosecond lasers in microwave photonics will be reviewed and discussed, such as ultra-low noise microwave generation, femtosecond timing distribution and synchronization between RF and optical systems, and high precision photonic analog-to-digital conversion(ADC).
