Abstract
This paper investigates the nature of China inflation persistence over the recent 12 years employing a bootstrapped median unbiased estimator that provides correct asymptotic coverage. Empirical results show that inflation in China remains highly persistent during the past decade. This finding suggests that low inflation does not imply low inflation persistence.
