Abstract :
This paper presents a design of 3.1-10.6GHz down-converted mixer for ultra wideband (UWB) system with 0.18μm SMIC CMOS technology. The folded structure is adopted to lower voltage, at the same time, the current rescue technique and inductance negative feedback technology is used to trading-off the gain, the noise and the linearity. The good match over the entire frequency range is obtained by using passive components. The simulation result shows that the mixer achieves gain of 5.4dB, NF DSB of less than 16dB, the 1dB compression point of -2dB, IIP3 of 6dB with the power supply voltage of 1.8V, all characteristics of the design method have met the requirements of UWB systems perfectly.
