Knowledge communities building and its effective functioning is a key component for the dynamic competitiveness of an enterprise. Empirical studies from high-tech enterprises show that strength of the relationship between the participants, future expectations, absorptive capacity and organizational learning orientation can affect the exchange level of knowledge communities, and then affect the performance of organizational innovation. Therefore, managers need to create a learning culture to enhance absorptive capacity and maintain community opening up to maximize the value of knowledge communities.
