Abstract :
In cable TV communication there are a number of basic modules that can create a network. These are illustrated with reference to the star network, multidrop network, ring network and the mesh network. The reducing cost of fibre and its low distortion characteristics allowed the trunk part of CATV networks to be replaced by fibre links. Networks now have route sharing for the telephony and video services but have no significant common use for transmission
