Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Linear variable inductor (LVI) is a magnetic component that can be used both in the input resistor-emulator boost stage and in the output DC-DC converter stage of modern single-phase telecom rectifiers. The advantages and drawbacks of realizations using LVIs are highlighted and discussed. Different options of system architecture of rectifiers applying LVIs are presented and compared The conclusion is that LVIs offer yet unused possibilities for design of telecom rectifiers
