Abstract :
This paper introduces the design and development of monitoring and data acquisition system of PDA-based geodetic GPS receiver. Some pivotal technologies and corresponding solutions are discussed. This system is capable of monitoring and controlling aimed to surveying GPS receiver, including handshaking automatically, sending command, acquiring and demodulating data, displaying monitoring state and constellation, channel tracking state. The system integrates GIS and has such functions as various electronic map displays and the real-time tracking display of the GPS receiver. The first version of the system has been finished and put into engineering practice, fulfilling design requirements.
