Abstract
The telecommunication market today is expanding rapidly as a result of many new application fields. Consequently, a good understanding of these trends is important to evaluate the consequences for power conversion and distribution. At the same time, new technologies have become available in the field of switched-mode power supplies. Here, the author describes how high frequency power conversion offers alternative solutions to traditional methods
