Abstract :
The authors present the efficient techniques and protocol required to support ISDN (integrated services digital network) signalling and packet data in point-to-multipoint subscriber radio systems. These techniques include the concept of dynamic trunk allocation as well as an extension to this concept called virtual circuit trunk reservation. An internal protocol is also proposed to support a packet-switched facility within the inbound and outbound frame for D-channel information transfer
