Abstract :
This paper introduces the development of a low-cost small sized power supply module with a high-density SMT control circuit and a low-loss synchronous rectifier. The control circuit consists of a high-density SMT hybrid IC. As well as stabilizing the output voltage, the control circuit suppresses the rush current, monitors the input voltage, shuts down the power supply in the event of a power failure, remotely starts and stops the power supply, and transmits power failure alarm signals for the power supply module. The synchronous rectifier, using a low on-resistance FET, cuts down the power loss in the rectification circuitry, which accounts for a most of the total loss in a power supply, to make a low-loss power supply module
