Abstract
The large-signal transient response for a step-change of line voltage and load condition in a current-mode resonant DC/DC power converter is studied by analysis and experiment. The condition of zero current switching (ZCS) at start-up transient has been clarified by analysis. Furthermore, analytical and experimental results reveal that not only current stress but also voltage stress appear on semiconductor switches in the case of nonZCS operation and that a full-wave power converter shows a faster response than its half-wave counterpart
