Abstract :
The impact of TWDM downstream wavelengths in L-band on CATV and fronthaul channels in C-band in the co-existed NG-PON2 system is investigated theoretically and experimentally for the first time. Experimental results indicate that, ~2dB power penalty would be imposed on fronthaul channels when it co-existed with four TWDM downstream wavelengths. And almost 10dB Raman noise suppression on CATV channels can be achieved when utilizing dicode modulation format in TWDM-PON system.
