The aims of the course are formulated within the described constraints; to awaken some awareness and enthusiasm for a previously unfamiliar subject; to provide all students with the image processing skills and techniques deemed desirable, irrespective of their choices of previously taken modules; and to cater for the different expectations of Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic and `General´ Engineers
