This study investigated administrators in visual design, product design, interior design and fashion design industries in Taiwan. By judgment sampling, 80 companies in each industry category were selected and 960 questionnaires were posted. Major finding were as follows: (1) administrators in design industries perceived above midpoint on leadership competencies; (2) administrators reported differences in perceiving leadership competencies on different industry categories; (3) administrators in design industries reported differences in perceiving leadership competencies on different industry categories and leadership styles.
