The authors briefly describes the program that HP´s (Hewlett-Packard´s) Corporate Quality Department is putting in place to promote the use of QFD (quality function deployment) in new product development. Capsule accounts are given of several HP projects that have used elements of QFD. Lessons learned about the accelerating factors and the pitfalls in implementing QFD are presented
