Abstract :
Electric vehicles (EV) racing formulae can be defined as any combination of parameters that affect the performance of EVs in competition, whether it be racing, record breaking or events of endurance, deviced by the organisers or governing bodies of such sporting events. Formulae for EV racing are usually based on overall vehicle weight, and whether the vehicle is road licensed or just a purpose-built special. Here, the author examines the influence of such electric vehicle racing formulae on the construction of electric competition vehicle systems
