Abstract :
Interconnections and harnesses add considerable complexity and weight to modern complex industrial electronic systems. A system using only a single two wire interconnection between different units and featuring transformer isolation to eliminate earth loops and achieve easy EMC is proposed. A high frequency carrier is added to the output of a switch-mode inverter. An inverter topology is proposed which is designed to contain the high frequency content of the power output voltage waveform in order to avoid pollution of the information frequency band. A prototype system is described and experimental results are given
