Abstract :
There exists severe unfairness in the IEEE 802.11 DCF protocol based multi-hop wireless ad hoc networks. We propose a novel fairness enhancement algorithm FDCF based on the adaptive contention window adjustment technique, extensive simulation results show its effectiveness to improve the DCF fairness in wireless ad hoc networks.
